Productivity tools: reuse or customise workflow or report components

Omniscope is the ultimate data management productivity tool – once you design your data transformation and analysis logic, you don’t need to do it again.

Another goal is to reuse or customise components across your projects or share them with the team, so everyone can benefit from these efficiencies.

Workflow area

• Workflow block: Bookmark or copy/paste the block into another project*. Combine with parameters, so you can remotely manage migration or change of settings in multiple workflows e.g. in data sources, where file/folder path or credentials need to be updated.
• Custom block (with R/Python code) - export/import, bookmark or share with Omniscope community via GitHub
• Part of the workflow : copy/paste or use a Macro
• File output: Batch output block can automate production and email distribution of multiple customised file outputs, in formats like csv, xlsx, IOD, PDF, PowerPoint or screenshots, while delivering different file format and data subset to targeted recipients.
• Whole project: duplicate from homepage file list, use Macro or Template

Report area

• Report Style - Export/import style as ilf file
• Report Chart: copy/paste to any report in the same project (from the 3 dot report menu)
• Report Tab: copy/paste into another project*
• Whole Report: bookmark or copy/paste; customise with Report Generator block or Multi-tenant mechanism; use Templates to create custom IORs based on the model workflow
• A Query: copy/paste query rules ( as an API filter object - reuse in multitenant configuration) 
• Custom views - create your own JS charts based on external libraries, then reuse or share with the team...

Automation

• Scheduler tasks: copy/paste one or more tasks, store and share them as xml files
• For Each block - parameterised workflow execution for each parameter value in the list

Note: Macros and Templates are Enterprise features, while the Scheduler application is an optional license add-on, so not available for all users
